You look around at the canvases on the high street and specialist ones that you can get printed up and they cost an awful lot of money. So what can you do on a budget I asked? Well I have found a great way to make vintage looking canvases.
You will need a canvas (can be picked up in most craft shops), some PVA glue, a paintbrush and the print of your choice either photocopied or printed out (remember that the print will come out backwards).
Paint your canvas with the PVA glue.
Place your picture print down onto the wet PVA glue and smooth out, leave to dry. When dry run under a cold tap, not for too long, but just enough to rub the paper off, not too hard you don't want to rub off the whole picture, and not too wet or it will just come off anyway.
You end up with a very vintage looking picture, mine is of the beautiful Betty Page :) Fabulous!
Happy Canvasing x
